Shane Staley - LEED AP Shane Staley received a Bachelor of Architecture from The Illinois Institute of Technology. He also studied abroad at the University of the Bauhaus in Weimar, Germany while earning his degree. Upon graduation, Shane was awarded the Jarrold Loebl Traveling Scholarship, and spent four weeks in Japan visiting ancient Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines, as well as traditionally built Japanese farmhouses called Minka. Prior to joining Frederick Phillips and Associates, he worked for Tigerman-McCurry Architects in Chicago. He also worked for PSI, Presentation Studios International, an architectural modelmaking firm. Shane is a LEED Accredited Professional. In his free time, he designs and builds furniture, paints, and builds and restores bikes. In addition to assisting with a design studio at the Illinois Institute of Technology with Frederick Phillips, he is working on homes within the Deerpath Farm Conservation Community, among others around Chicago. |
